DESCRIPTION:

Four prongs and nothing else. The head on this designer mounting is a bare four prong basket, so the 3.03 carat round cut center diamond is held at four points and left open everywhere else. Light enters through the pavilion from below instead of being blocked by a surrounding halo or a solid collet, and the stone's full outline stays visible from the side. That center diamond measures 9 mm across and carries an EGL report.

The setting itself measures 7.3 mm in width and the band tapers to 4 mm, finished in 14K yellow gold weighing 6.2 grams. Total diamond weight across the ring is 5.53 carats. The ring-wide grades are VS1 to VS2 in clarity and F to G in color.

F is a colorless grade and G is the first of the near colorless grades, so nothing in the set reads yellow on its own terms. VS1 to VS2 means inclusions are invisible without magnification. A four prong head is also the easiest setting style to clean behind, which matters on a stone this size because dust under the pavilion dulls a diamond faster than anything on the surface.
