DESCRIPTION:

The side stones here are emerald cuts and round cuts set together, which is unusual on a halo ring and worth understanding before you look at anything else. Emerald cuts are step cut, giving long rectangular flashes, while the rounds scatter light into points. Alternating the two keeps the frame from settling into a single even glitter, and the straight emerald facets give the design its architecture. Together the side stones weigh 1.50 carats.

The center is prong set with an EGL certified round cut diamond weighing 3.02 carats. Total diamond weight across the ring is 4.52 carats at VS1 to VS2 clarity. The center halo measures 14.6 mm across while the band itself narrows to 2.5 mm, a deliberate contrast of nearly six to one that makes the head look larger than its measurement by giving it almost nothing to be compared against. The mounting is 18K white gold weighing 8 grams.

VS1 to VS2 means no inclusions are visible to the naked eye. A 2.5 mm shank is also the comfortable width for stacking a wedding band flush against it, which a wider or paved band rarely allows without a custom contour.
