14k Yellow Gold Moon Cut Ball Bead Chain 3 mm

DESCRIPTION:

A moon cut chain is a plain ball bead chain that has been taken a step further. Each 3mm bead is faceted by hand on a diamond-tipped wheel, cutting flat planes into what would otherwise be a smooth sphere. Those planes are what make the chain move — instead of one soft highlight rolling along the strand, every bead throws light from a different angle, so the chain flickers as you turn. It is the closest a chain gets to looking set with stones while being solid 14K gold and nothing else.

At 3mm it sits in the sweet spot: enough presence to wear open-collar on its own, slim enough to stack under a Cuban or carry a pendant without fighting it. The beads are strung with a little play between them, so the chain drapes and follows the neck rather than sitting stiff.
