DESCRIPTION:

A 2.06 carat fancy yellow diamond, round brilliant cut, is prong set at the center of this 18K gold ring and carries an EGL certificate. Round is the less usual choice for a canary center, where square and rectangular cuts are more common, and it gives this ring a softer outline than most yellow diamond settings.

The frame around the center is outlined with small round cut diamonds totalling 1.25 carats, graded F in color and VS in clarity. F falls inside the colorless D to F band, so the surround carries no warmth of its own and nothing competes with the yellow in the middle. Total diamond weight across the ring is 3.31 carats.

Overall clarity is VS2, which means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye. The mounting weighs 8.7 grams and the ring measures half an inch in width. The yellow is natural canary, not an induced color, and fancy color diamonds of that kind are graded on saturation rather than on the colorless scale. Metal color on the 18K gold is selected at order.
