DESCRIPTION:

Color is what sets this ring apart. The diamonds are graded E, which sits inside the colorless D to F band at the very top of the scale, and total diamond weight is 4.84 carats in an 18K gold mounting.

Clarity across the ring is SI2. An SI2 stone carries inclusions a loupe will find, and at close range they can occasionally be picked out, so the trade-off on this piece is explicit: the money went into color and into carat weight rather than into clarity. For a buyer who wants a stone with no warmth at all and wants nearly five carats of it, that is the right order of priorities.

The mounting weighs 7.7 grams, which is light for the amount of diamond it carries, so the metal does little more than hold stones. Metal color is selected when the order is placed, and the 18K gold can be finished white, yellow or rose. The center stone's cut and individual carat weight are not recorded on this listing; the showroom can confirm both before purchase.
