DESCRIPTION:

A 4 carat pear shape lab grown diamond, E color and VVS2 clarity, framed by a halo of round diamonds and set in 14K yellow gold. E is near the top of the colorless scale, so the stone stays bright white against the warm gold, and at VVS2 there is nothing to see with the naked eye.

The pear shape gives the ring direction: a rounded base that tapers to a single point, which lengthens the finger when worn point up. The halo traces that outline stone for stone, making the center read larger than its 4 carats. The band is what sets this ring apart. Instead of a straight shank, it is shaped into a row of scalloped, petal-like links, each set with a diamond, so the band has a vintage, lace-like look from every angle.

4.95 carats of diamonds in total, 0.95 of that in the halo and band. The mounting weighs 6.1 grams and is available in sizes 4 to 12. Made at Avianne and Co in New York City's Diamond District.
