DESCRIPTION:

5.99 carats of lab grown diamond across a heart cut center and a vine-pattern band in 14K rose gold. The heart is the most technically demanding shape to cut well — the two lobes have to mirror each other exactly and the cleft has to sit dead center, or the stone reads crooked from across a room. At this size there is nowhere for an error in that symmetry to hide, which is why large heart cuts turn up far less often than rounds or ovals.

The band departs from the plain shank most solitaires use. Vine detailing wraps the shoulders with side stones worked into the pattern, so the metal carries texture of its own rather than acting purely as a mount for the center stone.
