DESCRIPTION:

Two setting styles share one ring here. The small round cut diamonds on this mounting are partly micro set and partly bezel set, totalling 1.00 carat. Micro set stones are held by tiny beads of metal and read as an almost continuous diamond surface; a bezel wraps each stone in a thin collar of gold instead, which outlines it and gives the design a crisp break between fields of pave. Using both means the setting has texture rather than one uninterrupted glitter.

The center is a brilliant large round cut diamond weighing 3.01 carats, clarity enhanced, which is a disclosed treatment that improves the appearance of the stone's inclusions. Total diamond weight across the ring is 4.01 carats. The frame measures 10 mm in width and the 18K white gold mounting weighs 12 grams.

Clarity across the ring runs VS1 to SI3 and color runs F to I. VS1 to VS2 means nothing is visible to the naked eye, SI2 to SI3 is the lower slightly included range, F is colorless and G to I is near colorless, so there is honest variation among the accent stones rather than a single uniform grade. Bezels are also the most secure way to set a small stone, which is why they appear at the points on this ring that catch most on clothing.
